How matching works
Every profile on NeuMarry shows a match %, the reasons behind it, and how far away the person lives. Here is exactly what goes into that number, so you know why someone is suggested to you.
What the match % is made of

Values carry the most weight on purpose. Two people from the same town can want very different lives; two people from different places can want the same one.
The nine questions
You answer each one by choosing one of three options. Matching answers count fully, neighbouring answers count half.

Reasons on every profile
Next to the match % you see up to three reasons in plain words, for example "Both from Gujarat", "Both want two full careers" or "Both ready within a year". You never have to guess why someone was suggested.
Distance, not just a city name
Each profile shows how far away the person lives. You can see the nearest people first, or keep the best match first, and set how far you are willing to travel or move. See how this works in Toronto and the GTA.
Filters you control
Choose the age and height range, the country people live in, the country and region they come from, and, if it matters to you, religion and community. You can be open to more than one community. Religion and community are always optional on your own profile.
Free and Gold
On the free plan you see how many people fit what you are looking for and your match % with each of them. NeuMarry Gold shows names and photos and lets you send interests and chat.
Questions
Does a higher match % mean a better person?
No. It means your answers and plans line up more closely. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a judgement of anyone.
Can I change my answers later?
Yes. Open Me, tap Edit profile and go to the Values & lifestyle step. Your match % with everyone updates straight away.
Is the match % the same both ways?
Not always. Your preferences, such as the age range you want, are part of your own score, so how well someone fits you can differ from how well you fit them. At events, the app shows both.
